REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE SOLEMNISATION OF MARRIAGE

The Following documents and preparation are required for those intending to get married :-

1. Certificate of "Baptism" (C.1055).
2. Certificate of "Confirmation" (C.1065).
3. Certificate of "Freedom to Marry" (C.1067).
4. A party who is not known to the Parish Priest must apply with a copy of his or her passport.
5. Must attend marriage preparation course and meet the parish priest individually for interviews and pre-Nuptial inquiry.

NB: The above mentioned certificates must be recently issued. (.e. not more than 6 months old) and should be original copies.

CATHOLIC MARRIAGE REGISTRATION

The following is the procedures for marriage registration

1. Go to St. Mary's Church, Dubai with Original Certificate to be attested by the Parish Priest.
2. Register the Marriage in Dubai Court.
3. Translate Marriage Certificate in Arabic Language (2 Copies).
4. Go to Foreign Affairs Office to be authenticated by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Office near Buheira Corniche Sharjah).
5. Go to the Consulate of your Country.
